May is around 3-4 years old and arrived at the Stockton Shelter as a pregnant stray. Unfortunately, during her time on the streets she reportedly killed a goat. She was set to be euthanized but thankfully the Underdog Railroad stepped in, and she made her way to Idaho. She's been doing great in her foster home with two other shepherds and has seem unfazed by small children. She even went to See Spot Walk and handled the crowds of people and dogs beautifully.
She loves to be with her people and has some separation anxiety when apart, but can be kept safe and out of trouble in a crate while you're gone. She's also been doing pretty well with the cat in her foster home. She has a strong prey drive and would not likely do well with a cat that runs, so we'll only consider homes with cats if you're committed to slow introductions and careful monitoring. And obviously no livestock for May. She's really the sweetest girl, with a nice laid back attitude. If you're interested in adopting May, please fill out an application below.
