Leon is an 8 year old male German Shepherd who joined us from the Downey Shelter in California. Leon was described by shelter volunteers as well-behaved, smart, friendly, and good with other dogs, so it's hard to believe he waited at the shelter for over three months! Perhaps it's because of his ears, which have been rounded from fly strikes, meaning he was likely left outside and neglected. But we think they just make him even more adorable, and his adopters agreed. Leon joined his forever family shortly after arriving in Idaho, and they have been doing a great job of helping him through some separation anxiety issues (not uncommon in dogs coming out of the shelters). Congratulations to Leon and his new family!
